knuckle busting 629-2

I have been shooting Model 29's for a long, long time. Here is my first one:

I have put ten thousand full loads (home cast only) through this handgun in the past several years. After I put the Pachmayr grips on, my pain ceased and never came back.

That would be my first recommendation. However, it must be said that each and every one of us has different size and shaped hands. One thing nice about the Packmayrs, they don't cost an arm and a leg, so it's relatively inexpensive to try out a pair.

Good luck!

I too suffered the bite to the middle finger, put a set Pychmyer grips on it and problem solved. But I agree with Dale53, everyone's hands are different so there's no guarantee.

Have a Ruger Redhawk in 44 magnum and with the factory grips was definitely a knuckle biter. Put on a set of Pachmayer deaccelerator grips and much more fun to shoot. Most I've ever shot 44 magnum at any one time was 100 rds so it must be working. Frank

If you have smooth grips and a Tyler T grip can be found to fit it could help some too as it fills in the area behind the trigger guard.
