So, my concealed carry permit expired a couple weeks ago. No big deal because they give us some leeway after expiration. I didn't really want to have to go downtown & pay $15 +/- parking for a 10 minute affair. Once a month the Allegheny County Sheriff's office has a Saturday satellite in a different town throughout the county. This month it was down the Monongahela Valley in a little town. Since I had Angel Dog in the car, I parked in the shade of a building and hit the remote starter so she had A/C. That lasts about 10 minutes, then I have to restart the car. There were a lot of people there, but still, I gave them the paperwork, paid my $20 cash, got the picture taken, and had my card and back to the car before the engine shut off. They were extremely organized and very nice people. Gotta love PA!

It's good to know the folks elsewhere are getting some service for what they pay...Here I don't have to leave my own desk to renew, but I do have to put up with this ghastly heat!...
