I find it funny, I have come full circle. I started with a tactical little Sport, and then it became a bipod basically off the bench or rested platform, now it is back to a techno-tact rifle. I figured out that I hadnt taken an pics of it in a while. Anyway I need to get one more of those push button sling swivels (QD) so I can attach this sling to the rear of my rifle. It is not a 3 point sling but it allows you to use 1 or 2 attachment points depending on how you want to do it. I can use the flashlight out to about 100 yards with my scope. It makes it perfect for going out and protecting our poultry and other farm animals after dark. :D

Nice looking rifle you got there. Even though these rifles don't have much kick I too enjoy having thicker shoulder padding. Aside from the added comfort it helps the rifle seat against my shoulder better.

I actually use it to extend my LOP. I find that I needed a little bit more LOP than I get with the CTR stock and this butt-pad was an inexpensive way to do it. I don't need storage or anything like that and the CTR butt-stock feels longer than the original but I get a better fit with the pad.

I have free floated the Sport barrel with a rifle length DD handguard. I wont be attaching anything to the muzzle other than the thread protector. Muzzle attachements that I have tried effect accuracy. So I am unsure about what kind of shroud you would be referring to. Its an 8-32x42 Optronics Horizon. I have had it for years. that is the full 16" barrel.

Nice work Grover. I'm liking the the no birdcage look, just a thread protector. That must make for a little fireball at the muzzle. I might do the same.

Mine has stayed KISS for a few months now. I know it's plain looking, but I like it. Putting the girl on a diet really lightened it up.

Before the diet:

The only thing I'm thinking of is free floating the barrel, low pro gas block, and a lightweight tube style handguard. I don't want to hang anything off it. I just need a top rail to mount a front iron sight.

If you look at my shooting videos you will see there isnt a flame ball, I have watched to see one when other people have shot her. I have never seen one. Plus if you will take and shoot a group with it on, and shoot a group with it off you will see a definate difference with the most accurate being with it off. :D

Nice to see the evolution and I'm really starting to think about some big glass.

I've also been contemplating the pool noodle hand guard rest for patio table shooting and deep end pool drills. Still working out the technique but I'm getting there. Do you seen an advantage to pink over blue or green optically?

I havent tried the blue or the green. But I did find the purple is great for mid-range it just makes it POP in the optics..LOL
