All it will take is one slaughter at a school and no govt agency will be able to stop the rage that will be unleashed. The Feds will not respond strongly against the terrorists, in fact they will try and hide the event... but the civilians in this country will rise up, take to the streets with torches and guns and destroy anything and anyone muzzie related, be it a mosque or an individual. Call it mob response or whatever you want, but Joe Public will have his "eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth". Most local law enforcement will stay out of the way because they will feel the same way.

And what makes you think that didn't happen after 9/11? There were A LOT of things going on around the country in that period that you didn't get to see on TV.

You don't have to fly an airplane into a building to create a very real Terror event. Two – three actors in several shopping malls, at the same time, randomly shooting, stabbing, throwing fire bombs, or throwing acid on folks will cause a panic and terror.

Now if that could be repeated, two or three times, in different parts of the country that would cause a panic that would put the World Trade Center attacks to shame.

I for one will be very careful when doing any holiday shopping.

That's exactly right. There are endless high opportunity, low cost and low skilled things such as driving a gasoline tanker into a building to shooting up a mall. It doesn't require a terrorist army or billions of dollars or worldwide sophisticated communication network.

So, the question remains. Why haven't at least 10 a week been happening for the past 13 years, but the lone wolf attacks should be likely now? Cmort suggests it might be because our way of life is too confusing for them to figure out?
