LCR or 442?

I went with the Ruger SP101 2 1/4" 357 DAO. I like the extra weight (25oz) and the ability to load 357 if needed. $499 out the door.

Trigger is pretty smooth right out of the box. Can't wait to get it to the range.

I'm a little late, but congrats on the purchase. I am a big fan of DAO revolvers for carry guns. The SP101 may be a tad too heavy for occasional pocket carry, but few guns are better IWB choices. It is a more than reasonable carry platform for a good .38+P, and many people consider it the lightest gun that is reasonable for .357mag (though it will likely still be pretty punishing). I look forward to seeing a range report.

My 642 conceals better, but the LCR has a better trigger, more comfortable grip and both shoot about the same. In turn, I own both; the 642 I carry and the LCR is in the car and bedroom.

Ditto for me as well. I now own both, but I have yet to take my new acquired 642 to the range.
