Since this was taken a few months ago I've acquired another 6.5" 624, the Ruger is a .44 Lipsey, I've posted this before, but I just love this caliber.

J. Galt -- is that a factory finish? If not, who did it and what is it called? It looks... liquid without being too bright. Is it stainless, or nickel? Chrome? Awesome job, whoever did it. Right down to the forcing cone.

Brokenprism, as far as I know that is a factory SS finish. The lighting makes it look a little cleaner than it actually is.

Hope you don't mind the 24-3 wanted in on the group shot.
3" model is a nice gun. S&W had a dedicated holster made for it, they come up for sale occassionally. I found a LH one here a year or so ago.
Good Luck, Kevin

Hello Michael,
Here are the four I have. No 6" guns yet...but who knows!

This is a 5" M24-3. Not a factory original, rather a re-barrel job. Don't know if it started life as a 6-1/2" and was cut down or someone acquired the 5" barrel (possibly as a factory second) and installed it.

Since I have a deep fondness for 5" N-frames I don't much care how it got to be this way. I like it just fine. Came with a red ramp front and white outline rear. Shoots fine, at leats as well as I can see at my age (LOL).

You guys are killing me with all the 624 snubbies (no pun intended). I've looked all over this burg for one for sale and no luck yet... It's my Grail gun if ever I had one.

yankee7809,
You need to watch Gunbroker....I sold a 624 snub-nose a month or two back...it went for a tad less than eight bills...w/o box or tools.
