That got me to thinkin'. After 9-11 my wife and I moved from the Washington DC area to a small town tucked away in the mountains of West Virginia.
Was a bit of culture shock. People would wave and it wasn't with their middle finger. When you walked into a store in DC they'd say, "what you want!?" Out here it's "how y'all doin'?"
The radio station that came in the clearest was a country station.
I was never a fan of country music but my wife liked it and I gained an appreciation for it. I remember when that song came out.
I guess I've kinda gone country too.
