Another 1950s M&P snub comes out of the woodwork. Just has to be an old lawman's gun though I know little of it's past. Still is regularly toted in a Bell Charter Oak Mae West IWB holster. It's real comfy that way.
Now there was an old time cop who wanted to pack the best in Janis Joplin's home town. A perfect sixgun. Since a couple non Smith's have popped up here, may I?
Here's a Triple Lock from 1911 which has been over-buffed, re-nickeled, barrell-chopped, and had its front sight uglified. All matching numbers and shoots like a dream, though.
Not a Smith. It was made in China in 1966. It's pretty ugly but brother can this puppy shoot. It is actually a Chinese copy of the Russian T-33 I believe. Sometimes I feel sorry for the poor NVA officer who gave his life so I could have the gun. NOT!!! It looks a lot worse in person.
With my gun budget I tend to accumulate high functioning, finish challenged guns. I'm not sure I would call these ugly ducklings they were just well used and under loved.
A neglected old 1903 Colt, not military marked , was probably a cop gun. I did shoot this with some light .38 Long Colt. Also a heavily beat .32 S &W. I sold both to fund the purchase of something else I needed....probably sold or traded that too.....
May retire the 6 inch 5 screw 357 that I posted on this thread earlier since I picked this 3.5 inch 5 screw 357 over the weekend. Reblued, but still a nice old shooter and more compact for a daily carry piece. Really amazing how many 3.5 inch 357's have show up on this site in the past several weeks. Do not know what is going on but they are coming out of the woodwork.
