Let's see 'em - 4 legged best friends

This one is my youngest. Little guy only weighs in around the 120's. One of the best breeds I have ever owned and he has me spoiled to them.

Here is a picture of a fellow vet, Military Working Dog ACE, V156 (his ear tattoo). Ace and I went through Military Working Dog Patrol Dog Handler school together at Camp Bullis, TX., Jan. - May 1974. One of the hardest things I ever did was stake Ace out after I finished and had to leave him there, and I'm sure like all military working dogs he was put down when old. He was a beautiful GSD as you can see and even tho I value the friendship of every dog I've ever had, Ace and I had a special bond. Vaya con dio compadre...

Simply love my GSD. He's getting old enough now that he is calming down (thank God) and is not constantly bouncing off the walls. Now he just follows me from room-to-room and get's as close to me as he can.

Been reading about English Mastiff's and the known record is 343 pounds. Oh, and I drive a MINI Cooper! What was I thinking?

Thank you guys!!!
The cool thing is ever since my granddaughter was born they have been best friends since. She has stabbed him in the face with pens, bit his face, stolen his food, and routinely beats him up and he don't care. She is old enough now to know hurting him is bad and when me and him play rough she gets intensely upset and tells me not to hurt him, and the funny thing is for a Boston he is over 30lbs of rock solid muscle and crazy strong for a little guy and he hurts me more than I hurt him. The only time I have ever seen him lift his lips in anger is when another bigger kid pushing her around at the park. He got right in front of her and basically told the boy do not mess with this one! It was awesome!!!!!

Here is our new one. Mostly border collie, 7 weeks old. A ball of energy to keep the old man moving. Our three cats are helping out by allowing him to herd them.

Best regards, Nevada duke.

Allowing?? Are they really allowing it or do they not have a choice? ha ha.

Our red heeler nips at our heels and butts sometimes. It's funny to watch her try to herd us, until she gets real skin on your tookus.

we had to put down the big girl 2 years ago. We always had a rule that the day where the dog can not make it himself to the food bowl we will end the suffering. The doctor told us that she would make it to max. 2 years, we had her for 13.
Unfortunately I was unable to bring the remaining ones with me to the US so they are having a great life at my mom's place with over 10 acres of space for running.

Our New Yellow Lab, "Ginger"

First time dog owner here; 5-month old yellow lab.

Very challenging, and we're still perfecting the potty training drills. She's a hell of a lot of fun, and everyone loves the face licks.

For a supposedly "intelligent breed":p, I still can't believe the stupid dog:rolleyes: has a pallet for eating kitty poop. It's like the litter box is her Golden Coral style Doggie Buffet. Yick.

Although it's still cold out, the little pup loves the cold water and digging through the woods for buried treasure...kitty poop.

I've been a little reluctant to post in this thread, for a number of reasons--the uniformly excellent quality of the pictures, the fact that I'm only a part timer here on the forum, and how raw the feeling still is from having to put down my dear old Rebel dog on 12-12-12.

But here are my Brittanies:

Me and old Rebel and a hard earned Georgia grouse:

So long old buddy, I'll see you down the trail. Hold 'em 'til I get there.
