My 15-3 in a set of grips my next door neighbor had in a drawer.
15-3 in nickel from 1970 and Ahrends. Have original box, grips, and papers.

Please, please, please, no pics with those butt-ugly grip adapters...........I can't help it, I despise those things! Great looking CM's other than the grip adapters, though.

I think the 4" Model 15 is the best looking revolver ever made.
I'm also a little prejudiced, since Uncle Sugar loaned me one for quite a while.

Last year when I was visiting friends for Christmas, my buddy fell in love with my 10-5 2", so I said lets hit some shops and see what we can find.
Found this 15-4 for a hair under 400, I opened it up, cleaned and lubed it, gave him one of my Tylers. He was in love.
They had some unexpected expenses while I was down there this year, (yesterday), so he asked asked if I was interested in the 15-4, so I gave him what he paid for it. Said he could have it back for the same if he ever wanted it.
Now I have a 15-4, stocks aren't original, some holster wear and a quite a few blemishes. Real tight, and has a great trigger, I'm happy.

One of these is NOT a Model 15 but both are USGI.
BTW Zonker, what are the grips made of? Are they fake or real
animal parts? They are
The grips are Jay Scott, plastic I believe. They look good and fit my hand well so I keep them.

I just found this old picture. Its hard to tell, but that's an issue Model 15 in my non-regulation holster with non-regulation target grips.
I kept putting Pachmayrs on it, and the armorer kept taking them off, saying they had to have wood grips. So I put the targets on and he gave up.

The only story with this gun was from the seller. He showed me the original box that had $91 written in it. The person he bought it from was the original owner, who said he had bought it from Leonard Brothers for $91. The seller told me he believed that owner because he (the seller) used to work at Leonard's selling them for $91. I have the original grips, but prefer the these Eagles for shooting. And yes, I paid a lot more than $91.
