Hi, girvin02:
That Gerber knife is a stainless steel model, but I have one of the brass ones just like the one that you show. I have it pictured with a Colt 1911 John M Browning commemorative pistol. I would show the pair, but, it would make the folks on this S&W forum unhappy, besides I can't access Hunt 101 pictures right now. I may show it to you later anyway.

Since we all love guns, I'm sure knives come in a close second.
Yeah knives are about 2nd place.
Sorry I don't own an N frame (yet) but here is my little 642 and my Benchmade AFCK with liner lock. Both are commonly found in my pocket with many miles on them.

Here is a pict with my Busse Meaner Street which is a common companion when hunting. When hunting the 642 and AFCK go along in my pocket. And there is either a bow or flintlock in my hands.

Mark, could you post, or send me, a pic of the knife blade logo and the sheath for that knife? Something's wrong there.

Olknifebuddy,

Don't remember. Various knife makers at mountain man rendezvous 30 years ago.

Nothing old or original.

The top one is a replica of the "Blackfoot Dag" reputedly the original blades were recycled spear points traded to the Indians by the Hudson Bay Co and handles and decorations done by the purchasers.

Obsidian knife was made by a flint knapper hobbyist. My wife traded a belt she had beaded for it, and gave it to me.. Both that knife and gun hold special meaning to me.

I traded a 50 caliber pistol for the Bowie, that's about all I can tell you.
