My 1960 Model 39 caught my attention with the inlay through the stock of light wood. Do not know who did it but it is a beautiful job. When I got it, it did not have sights so I just updated the scope.
Here's Savage 99eg I just got recently. It's not the rifle
I wanted but it was in nice shape and price was reasonable. I wanted a 250/3000 but would rather have a carbine model. Even on 99s I don't like pistol
grip stocks. I have already jerked off the scope and
Weaver pivot mounts. Put a tang sight on it. Gun has
been D&T for scope and has sling studs installed. 99s
are scarce in my area and most I have owned were 300s & 303Sav.
