RE, what is a Snubby...
Many years ago I used to shoot in "Snub Nosed" revolver matches.
The rule was it had to be a factory revolver, ie no custom barreled competition guns, and the barrel had to be 3" or less.
This was back in the day where the Chief Special was the only revolver offered with a 3" barrel. There were no 3" K or N frames. There were no L frames at this time.
I actually won several of these matches, shooting my 2.5" Model 19.
This Mod 19 would shoot groups at 25 yards that would rival most custom barreled 6" PPC match guns... It was scary accurate.
Shot strings were 5 shots, to make things fair for the S&W J frames.
Several people shot the J framed S&W, or the small framed Colts.
But, a lot of people shot the adjustable sighted Snubbies like the Colt Diamondback, or Python, and the 2" Model 15 or the 2.5" Mod 19.
Had a lot of fun at those matches.
