Let's see those "snubbies"

Do 2- 36's make a 72??? My first & only J frames. They were bought about 2 months apart. 1st was RB 1981, 2nd was 3" 1957. Had to be consistent and put target grips on both. I still would like to own a K frame 2 incher. Hasn't happened yet. The rest of my Smiths are 4 & 6 inch. Bob

I wanted to post my Boston Police snubbies, mostly Smiths. I have several other S&W snubbies but they are not BPD.

3 are new in box, several show virtually no wear and the Colt Bankers Special shows it was used for years, the grips are smooth.

WHO DOES THAT?!?

That is the way one of our illustrious and feisty members sent it to me. I guess he/we have a sense of humor. :D:D:D

Here is my 31-1 that I have been carrying recently.

I carry it loaded with the cartridges in the speed loader -- Buffalobore 100 grn wadcutters.

I also carry the speed strip with Buffalobore 115 grn flat points as a reload. Wadcutters are a little slower to reload than the more rounded bullet style.

This gun weighs 19 oz empty.

The original J frame square grip fits my hand well. There is just enough room for three fingers on the grip. The J frame round butt factory grip is just a little to small and isn't quite as nice -- at least for my hands.

I recently got myself a non Smith snubbie in the form of my SP-101. It's big, its beefy and it handles .357 with ease, but if I hadn't needed to pay bills, well I would have kept my 649 too.

The 649

I so hated to sell this gun, to me the 3 1/2 inch Model 27 is an honorary snubbie.

The first J frame I ever owned

Model 10-6 2 inch

I found this well worn Colt at a gun shop for $175 but it had a great action and perfect bore.

Not a snubbie but a nice little carry gun, a Walther Model 8 in .25 ACP. It digested everything without a problem. It was once a back up gun to a sheriffs investigator. Got offered double what I paid, wish I had it back was nice to drop in a pocket during the summer time.
