After reading many posts on red dot sights I have decided to go with Leupold. Now the question is which one. Looking for comments from those who have used the Delta Point, is waiting for the Pro going to be worth the cost? Delta point medium $$, Delta Point Pro big $$. Other than battery changing issues (once a year?) what else am I really going to get for the "new and improved" Pro?

Until I actually see one, I'm calling the Deltapoint Pro a Unicorn. I've beat my Deltapoint (non pro) for 2 years and 90K rounds. I use a CMore in USPSA now (frame mounted, bigger glass). But the DP still gets used in SC matches once a month.

Love my DP it sits proudly on top of my 40 CORE and works so well. Really I don't think I would spend more money to have it do more. I have a UltraDot on my FS 9 Pro and it has a bunch of setting options I set it of just one of them and leave it. Don

I have a Delta Point on a PC40 ported and it's definitely a winner, but the pro addresses some of it's short comings.

1. Changed to MOA windage and elevation adjustments. No more torx head adjustment & locking screws.
2. Added a manual brightness adjustment to augment the auto intensity feature, which is need when fire from shade into daylight and when using a weapons light in close quarters.
3. Added a spring steel shroud over the housing for ruggedness.
4. Changed to a tooless spring operated battery compartment.

This is a quality endorsement. If I knew nothing else about the Deltapoint, Bkreutz's experience would guide me toward it.

I'm more of a fan of Trijicon RMRs, but I cannot deny his real world experience. Get the Deltapoint.

And last weekend I broke the mount for my CMore, guess that's what I get for shooting 9Major  (already fixed the CMore mount, SJC got me the parts quickly). It wasn't a fun day shooting with a "full floating" optic. I used the Core yesterday for my Tuesday night match, didn't like minor scoring though, but the Deltapoint still worked flawlessly. :D

Optics Planet stated the the Military is buying up all the Pros?

I compete in USPSA Single Stack with a 1911, was thinking about trying Open Class only because my 73 year old eyes should benefit from the red dot sight. The way it is now if I can see the front sight, the target is rather fuzzy. If I correct for the target, the front sight is a blur.:D

Thanks to everyone, will try the non Pro model.
