I think I scored a great deal yesterday. Local GS had some items in the case that was brought in by an older customer that can no longer have guns. Rest home bound. So in the case was a S&W model 65-? 4" in the box with all papers and original receipt. I had to have it so I dipped into the kitty and put this in the 10day jail. It has only been fired by the factory. Only three chambers show having been fired! So now I can drool and not rust the gun!
Brought it home today, it's a 64-2. Grips are numbered to the gun, correct pc magnas and the edges on the crane are still sharp enough to cut yourself on! The original receipt dated 1979 for $160.00. I wish that's all I paid but how often do you find a brand new, unfired S&W anymore from when they were still made the right way. Now I have to summon up the courage to shoot it!
