"Let's" ?
How about speaking for yourself. I have.
You can take it personally if you want, but you don't really have a dog in the fight. Theory and ideals are handy, but real experience, in my opinion, trumps it.

Go free an innocent person if that's how you think the system works. I'd love to hear your story after you do, because I have done that very thing, more than once. Jails in Mexico have a few waiting for help.

I'm not talking about executing innocent people. I'm talking about murderers. Confessed, convicted murderers.

Thank you for your efforts in freeing the innocent.
I was trying to be nice by saying lets and not you. But im not sure how i dont have a dog in this fight and you do. Were talking about this on an online forum. If you really want to stop people from discussing things because they have no experience, well youll probably run out of people to talk with.

Quite honestly you dont realize how much of a slippery slope you go down when you make these comments. I mean people who have more experience than you could sideline you and say that you have no dog in the fight. But whatever.

I believe in the death penalty.
I is written in Leviticus.
I do not believe in life in prison for murder.
Life would be more cruel in my opinion.
Send them to God for judgement as the Word says.

I meant exactly what I said. Read my post again, read the link.I speak from personal experience. Two family members (grandmother and Father) murdered, both by previously arrested, 1 convicted of murder, one released three times (no billed).
I work with an organization that returns illegally arrested U.S. Citizens from jail in Mexico.
So, you go get those people you know with more experience and sideline me.
Your argument is based on emotional guilt. My position is based on the concept of protection of the innocent.
"But whatever" is a cop out, "dude".

This thread and poll was about a KNOWN murderer, but the anti capital punishment attitude has turned it into a debate about the innocent being executed. I personally haven't dealt with that for a reason. The reason is that it's not the issue. I maintain released killers kill again, escaped killers kill again, incarcerated killers kill inmates and guards. Any arguments about that?

Think it's time to lock this bad boy down. The reading has been fascinating and I thank all of you for contributing, even if it meant opening up old wounds. The original post was indeed about a convicted killer and not about executing the innocent. Unfortunately it has morphed towards that direction which was absolutely not my intention when I originally posted.
Buenos Tacos to all

I agree with Cajunlawyer that this discussion has run it's course. I'm glad you posted this. The subject is important, and gave us a chance to do some soul searching.
