My dad bought a model 1903 built in 1942 from Montgomery Wards. He gave me his guns during the last 2 years of his life. Yesterday I was going through a box of his stuff and found a paper that came with the gun.

Back in my much younger days, MW sold milsurp rifles of many types. At least at my local store. They also carried a good variety of new long guns.They did not sell handguns due to a local city law situation.

What DWalt said. I can remember going into a MW store back in the early 60's and they had barrels of milsurp guns and ammo. I really wanted an M1 carbine but my dad, a WWII vet, sneered at them and said they weren't much of a gun. Audi Murphy movies made me want one of those M1's soooo bad.

I like Monkey Wards guns too..
a simple shotgun tweaked into a tribute to my uncle Vern by an artist friend into what you see.. it's a fake... so I had him stamp my late uncle's name on it to prove that..

My first S&W mdl 19 6” came from “Monkey Wards” back in 70’s as did my Winchester 270.
