This will be my first time going to the SHOT show, I am going on behalf of a friend who owns a small gun operation. I am SUPER excited! But also, as a SHOT show newbie I want some tips and some insider information. Who should I go see at the show? What booths should I seek out? Freebies? Anything else I should know?
I am from Vegas originally, so I'm good to go with a place to stay (parents house). Know all about places to eat, shows, etc. But I am clueless as far as the expo goes. Any help or tips appreciated, anyone else just as excited as I am?!! I feel like I'm getting double Christmases this year!!!

Most important SHOT Show tip. bring good shoes. You are looking at over 1 million square feet of show.

What booths depend on your taste. There will be 50 exhibitors of camo clothing, 50 exhibitors of tactical clothing, 20 exhibitors making duck calls, 20 exhibitors with tree stands, 20 exhibitors with off road vehicles, 50 exhibitors with optics, 20 exhibitors with ways to sharpen your knife, 20 more with beef jerky, another 20 with sport watches, 20 with pocket warmers or electric gloves and socks, 50 with AR parts, 50 with suppressors, 50 with 10-22 enhancements, 50 with CAS gear, and even some with Firearms

Remember this is the Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade Show

EVERY booth will have something to give you.

Bring your camera because you will see firearms you can never buy.

EDIT: At the Atlanta Shot Show I took pictures of a 4 gauge set of Beretta shotguns -- $865,000. I lacked the courage to pick one up even though a Beretta rep said it was for handling.

It was a choice between The SHOT and Belize---I want warmth.
Blessings

You might wanna rethink that trip to Belize, I heard they have a terrible crime rate. Id rather take my chances of possible "crime" at the Shot show.

Tony Gallazan is going to introduce his double barrel pump alley sweeper at the shot show. I'd be sure to look that up. I've got one reserved already.

the last shot show i went to was in orlando fl . i thought it was great lots to see lots of cool gagets. like the other gentleman said wear good shoes lots of walking because theres lots to see

Thanks for all the tips! I have my assignment from my friend/employer as to what he needs to me to. But with 3 days lined up, I can't imagine not being able to get what he needs done in 2 and then having the 3rd all to myself. MUhahahaha! I am seriously over the top excited.

One day is not enough. The advice about good shoes is important. Your feet will hurt even if you have good shoes.

I have a ticket, but cannot go. I have a surgery on Wednesday and I don't think my leg will be healed up enough in time. Bummer.
