Yep..we still do have them. Those *&^$&* down in Bosstown haven't shut them down..yet!

$15 entry. I remember $3 with a $1 coupon available. Ah well Could be worse.Sure hope I can afford to live another 20 years!

Observation 1...not many cars in the 200 unit parking lot out front, including vendor spots.

#2..NICE custom 1972 Torino GT with a multi green ribbon/stripe style paint job on chrome set of Cragar SS wheels....70s vintage. Immaculate factory avocado interior. Too nice to be out in the winter but it was a low to no salt day. :)

#3 not as many vendors, but a better quality of goods available.
Not as many "carpetbaggers"

I saw a Merwin and Hulbert large frame nickel finish 7"ish barrel in 44-40 with prearl grips, shull crusher butt. It was impressive.
I have a few of the smaller frame M&Hs and like them a lot. Guy was asking 5. Too much for me..but maybe some day.

Bought some knives. Knives scare me...:)

Watched the big red one with Lee Marvin for the first time the other night. So I was looking at trench knives. Anywhere from $2500-$300 and everyone says their is the real deal. However the $2.5 one looked the most rugged. Ill pass for now before I overpay for a copy out of ignorance. :)

Came upon the 2206 at the end. Made in Springfield Ma. If it had been an adjustable sight I would not have handed it back to her.....BUT...it was nice enough for a $400 offfer. Sold. One 10 round S&W magazine. No box.

Just shot it out back..it feels like shooting a BB gun even with HV .22 rounds. Great trigger and accuracy. Nice outdoor sights(3 dot)

Sorry no photos of the Torino or the M&H. Did I mention it was 15 with 15mph winds?

Todays "haul".

The Godfather is the Distressed model. The Boker is the "Day of the Dead" model.

1) Don't miss MA winters at all. It's mid 60s today in central Texas, but will get into the low 40s, upper 30s through the week. That's too cold for me. They were talking about snow flurries later in the week, but they shut up for now.

2) Went to two gun shows this weekend and didn't go to a third because I didn't find out about until last night. All within an hour of my house. The problem was that there seems to have been a shortage of gun dealers. Then again, there were some private seller tables as well.

One of the shows was a first time for the area and advertised guns, accessories, and ammunition only. That was technically true, since I guess the concealed carry purses qualify.

The other show was third time since August. First two times were very high in guns, accessories, and ammunition and low in "other" stuff. This time there was a higher percentage of "other stuff" including beef jerky, smoked cheese, eye glass/optics cleaners, cosmetics, lots and lots of knives, jewelry, military surplus gear, war memorabilia.

Prices were high for guns and ammunition. Plenty of both, but not as many used guns. Lots of antique and military arms at both.

Only saw one 3rd Gen, a 1006. Nice condition, no box, one magazine. I forget the price.

The nice part is that since there is no roster in Texas, I get to see and touch guns that aren't legal for FFL sales in MA. Plus silencers, even if I'm not in the market.

1911s, Glocks and AR style guns abound along with accessories and parts.

No notable cars or trucks and I skipped this morning's car show. Which I usually go to and make me say oh, ah, and sometimes wince at what people do to their cars and trucks. ;)

Went to our big show yesterday. It’s Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds. It happens 3 times a yr. I got there early when the doors opened. Smaller than normal crowds and more S&W revolvers than I’ve seen in years. Prices also seem to be coming down. Nothing I wanted or needed though. I was intrigued by a 29-2 8 3/8”. No box but very nice condition. $1500 was starting price. I figured anything I offered would be insulting . He was selling for his friends widow. I did buy a $20 leather sling from an Amish leather crafter. I’ve bought two others. Fantastic work.

Sturbridge Gun and Knives show

Hello Breakaway !! Nice score on the 2206 looks in amazing condition ! I live on Cape and jealous I can't shoot out my back yard, but I do have an amazing Fish and Game 5 minutes away (CCFG). I was planning to go today to the Sturbridge gun show but glad I didn't and I will probably wait for the Marlboro show which I have never been to and it's closer. I would have been on that 2206 though, my wife has the SW 22A and I use Ruger for our bullseye league. I did pick up this Skinner from the Raging Dutchman booth last year, thought it was very unique looking.

Thanks for posting those pics....love that Boker.

$400 for a decent 422 fixed sight gun with black grips is a good price, I think you did very well to get a 2206 at that price! I love mine.

I agree, good deal on the 2206. I love that series. I originally bought a 422 in ~1992 and since then I bought the 622, 622vr 4.5", 622vr 6" (those are the vent rib models), 2206, 2213, and 2214. The model 41 feels the same though the action itself it a lot different.

If you don't know, those use the same magazines as the 422 and 622's. If you look you can find the 12 round version with the orange followers though they are getting kind of expensive. The front barrel nut can be replaced with a threaded adapter if you use suppressors. Enjoy your new toy, it'll serve you well. I have shot thousands upon thousands of rounds through my original 422. They are decently accurate too, especially with the heavier weight of the 2206.
