My father-in-law was a ball turret gunner on B-17's with the 15th. This summer at our local bakery I was recounting how we saw an old photo that had my father-in-law present. Some acquaintances from Missouri overheard my conversation. The lady said her father was also in the 15th and the family has published a book on his adventures. I was gifted a copy, that is next on my reading list. My FIL had 32 rides in the ball, credited with 51.
