I went to an estate sale that advertised hunting gear about 30 years ago. A woman was selling off her ex-husbands stuff. She told me he cheated on her, she sued him for divorce and was awarded the house and everything in it.

I asked if there were any guns or knives. She told me there weren't any guns, but there were some "gun parts". She went in another room and came back with an M1 Garand, minus the trigger group. She said he must have taken the missing parts when he piked up his cloths.

It was a Blue Sky import, but I couldn't turn down her price. I found a complete trigger group at the next gun show. It cost me almost as much a I paid for the rest of the gun!

Here's another woman scorned story...
A fairly young guy came into the Michigan Antique Arms Collectors show with some pistols he wanted to sell. They were quality guns, but they all looked like they were dragged down the pavement behind a truck.

Seems he committed some unpardonable offense and was locked out of his home by his future ex-wife. While he was pounding on the door, she pitched his clothes out the upstairs window. She then proceeded to throw his guns as far as she could onto the driveway.

What are the guns she's selling?
A while back some neighbors had a knock down exciting divorce.
The Ex Wife loaded her stuff for a move back to Texas while he was at work.
Somehow his Guns wound up on the truck and it was GTT for sure.

This is a true story I was driving through a place called Buck Pa going to Willow Street buying stuff for the gun shop. Driving up a hill saw a gal putting a For Sale sign on a 62 Vette...swung around knocked on the door. Asked the gal what she wanted for the vette..she told me. Didn't have enough cash and offered her a reduced price..She actually told me OK but the car had to be gone before 4 o'clock when her sig other got home. She gave me the title(in her name!) I gave her the money. Drove the vette to the wholesale business. about 4 miles. #1 salesman took me back to get my Scout. Went back and got my order..paid with a check and went back home. Got my wife to drive me back to get the Scout later that afternoon. That vette was even full of gas. I made sure the vette was out of Pa by end of day...JIC....I wouldn't have wanted to see the argument later...but the gal said she was going to be gone before 4:00 herself

I also told my wife to not ever do something like that to me. Her reply was classic.. She said she'd keep the vette and sell my guns.

I do have to add...I almost felt guilty

About 18 or 20 years ago at my church,(I was the church business administrator and Treasurer) we had a married couple that was constantly upset with each other one day, and in love again the next.
The wife would always ask our minister if whe would like buy a Honda 4x4 for $2,000. Bill, our minister would buy the 4x4 knowing in a few days later the husband would ask to buy it back. Bill would sell it back to him for $2,100. Donating $100 to the church. This happened 5 separate times until the couple finally went their separate ways.

It's funny until it happens to you. My wife and I had a drug addicted child. We fought at everything we talked about. She enabled the addiction instead of cutting her off. Finally it got so bad I moved out to get away from it. I'd had a heart attack the year before partly due to the drama. I lived in my horse trailer for 14 months until things were settled. During that time I was paying $1600 spousal support. I wasn't allowed on the property without special permission from the lawyers. When I was able to get my stuff and start to sell the property (it was a horse farm) I couldn't believe how much of my stuff was gone. I couldn't believe the judge even allowed her to take care of the property. One of the things missing was a brass plum bob that had belonged to my dad. My dresser drawers had been plundered. My grandfather's jewelry was gone. A ring I'd made out of my mother's diamond and some of rings. Titles to the trailers that I was awarded had disappeared. Tools and materials in my shop were missing. So I will pass up a deal on a fire sale and I'll know I did the right thing.

My neighbor had a pretty good collection of firearms, but he liked his booze too much. He got drunk one day and got busted for domestic violence, and after he was convicted, he lost the right to possess a gun. While serving his 30 days his wife sold every gun he had, and skipped town with the money. I thought it best if I passed on acquiring any of them even at the great prices she was selling them for.
