Looking for Help in Michigan or?

Smith and Wesson Friends, I have a couple of S&W revolvers that need expert help. I live in Michigan and would prefer to keep them close to home if I can. Can anyone here reccomend a gunsmith that can help me? I am willing to ship but always prefer face to face. Personal experience of yours and any other inputs much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Knowing where you are in Michigan might be useful to offering you a convenient gun smith. Michigan is a pretty big state now that the waters have receded. Davidson's is a good recommendation but depending on where you're located there may be some that are more convenient to you.

S&W service in MI

I live in Lansing and work in Detroit, and that covers a lot of MI. Williams is a possibility, but I would prefer somebody else if I can find somebody else as good or better and personal experience driven recomendations.

Dick Williams near Saginaw. I have no personal experience. Only spoke on the phone they were helpful. I've read good reports about them on another forum.

Guy named Ed Cope works with The Firing Line in Westland. Drop your gun off at the gunshop, he picks it up, calls you to work out the details, you pick your gun back up at the gunshop when done (I get the impression he works out of his house). He did a S&W revolver barrel swap for me and a few other small repairs (before I knew enough to do them myself). He took a while longer than quoted on the barrel swap, but was excellent work and fairly priced. Shipping costs for handguns are outrageous, you almost have to find someone local.
