I searched the forum but found no answer. I need a DeSantis style holster for wear in the waist line, and on the belt. But they don't seem to sell a holster specific to my pistol.

The pistol was a retirement gift (USMC in 2014) from my brother.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Contact Ed. He will make you a really nice sturdy holster for about 1/2 the price of a Desantis, using leather every bit as thick if not more so than a Desantis, and have delivery in about 1 week.
You need a J frame holster.
Personally I like Ed's mahogany basketweave.

The reason you are having trouble is you are looking for something too specific. Search simply S&W 2" J-Frame holsters and you will find enough to really confuse you!:D

If you want/like the mini scabbard from Desantis they have it in stock? I thought 637/37 are the same except for blue/ss. Be Safe,

Dazed, not confused

I'll go back to check on the 37/637 thing. I know they showed a 638 and I am such a neophyte when it comes to revolvers....

Now that I have shown my ignorance I will take cover again.

You are looking for a holster for a conventional ( ie external hammer ) 2in J Frame. This is one of the handful of most widely made holster fitments , either currently , or cumulative over previous 60 or so years.

That is exactly why I didn't think I'd have any trouble finding plenty of places to find one. I've been to five stores in three states and no one carries what I want. I went online and couldn't find a picture of exactly what I want and don't want to buy a holster sight unseen.

Wright Leather Works, LLC has the "Predator" for a 2" J frame.

You're welcome. I love the AG as well. It is really comfy.

I just ordered a DeSantis Sof-tuck and Gould Gold Line Leather Pancake.

The Sof-tuck will hopefully be easier to tuck for short local trips. The AG for all day carry.

The Gould - I don't like the way the Blade-Tech allows the gun grip to stick out from my side when carrying OWB. Hopefully the belt will help pull inward.

Jaysq - Wright Leatherworks has beautiful leather holsters.
