Picked up this little gem from a friend and I am not an antique smith guy so I would greatly appreciate ANY info on this beauty.
I did an internet search but we all know how that goes . An approx. year and model would be great !!
Thank you in advance.

Your revolver is a .32 Safety Hammerless, 1st Model. It is also known as a .32 New Departure. These were made from 1888 to 1902 and from serial number 1 to 91,417.

FWIW, the barrel hinge pin and screw are in backwards. For the folks that know me, I'll sound like a broken record. This is a pet peeve of my flawed character. Sorry folks, quit reading here.

To correct the issue, loosen the slotted screw two or three turns but do not remove it yet. Tap the screw head with a wood or plastic screwdriver handle which drives the hinge pin partially out of the other side of the frame. Remove the screw, the pin and replace them on the opposite side from where they were removed. Align the witness mark on the pin with the witness mark on the barrel hinge and tap back into place. Once the pin is aligned and seated, then replace the screw.
