I have had an S&W PC Model 945-1 for about six years. I am sorry to admit that it is unfired. I have since decided to start using it. However, I am having difficulty finding any holsters, both for range carry and competition that will fit it. I would appreciate any suggestions pro and con.

Thank you.

PC5906,
I've got an 845 which I believe has same dimensions as your 945. I took a gamble on a Don Hume holster listed for both Models 645 & 4506 that has worked out. The one I got is "H721" No. 34-5, it has a thumb-break. Also listed on the Don Hume site as accepting Models 645 & 4506 is "H721 OT(open top)" No. 34-5 which appears to be above noted holster w/out thumb-break.
Good Luck, Kevin

Holster

I have a 945 and it is hard to find a good holster. The ones listed have been unknown to me until now. My gun came with a Fobus C-21 which is OK but whatever you get holster wise MAKE SURE that the eject button is not under any pressure are you will loose your clip.

I would appreciate any suggestions pro and con. Thank you.

I purchased a 945 4inch and also thought there was little in the way of holster options,, but did some home work and came up with a list.

I also went thru my draws and was very surprised..

After that post i purchased a Safariland 6004 for a Ber M92. I needed to adjust the tension and shorten the holster by 3/4 inch (it was used & cheap).

Net Net,, although not many are made per model, the 945 is close enough to several S&W models to find an acceptable fit. And that can lead to other options.

Good Luck..

You might try Black Hills Leather. I don't have a link for their website but most the pics. on their site show holsters with a 945 in them. Its not much but I hope it helps.

My 945-1 5" bbl fits whatever my 4506-1 can slide into... the 945-1 upper is basically a tricked out 4506 slide.

Safariland makes quite a few holsters that will fit, I'm partial to their model 568 "custom fit" paddle holster which also converts to a belt loop holster. It has an adjustable cant, to go full forward "FBI tilt" or rearward to be used as a cross draw.

I bought mine at here

Thank you, my friends ; this was very helpful info.
The 945 not only has great looks, it is a fine shooter !
I have used it on bowling-pins and paper targets (bullseye) with excellent results. Philip - Belgium

Aker Leather makes a leather holster for the 4506 that works for the 945. When I shoot competition with the 945 I use a Bladetech in Kydex. It fits like a glove as it is molded for the 945.
