I have had dogs and cats in my family for a lot of years. Every time I loose one I say never again. But then I think about all the good times we had together and then its not as bad as before. They all have a way of working themselves into our hearts and that's probably why it hurts so much. Sorry for your loss. Frank

im sorry. just keep telling yourself that you did right by your little buddy.
it may be hard on you, but it sounds like it was the humane thing to do. drives me crazy when animals suffer due to an owners selfishness

As has been said, its not just a pet, but a member of the family.
Hopefully when the day comes, we'll all be reunited with our past family members we left behind and still miss.
