I hear ya. I can be tough balancing the love with the inevitable heartache.

I have always heard that grief is the price we pay for loving. I believe this is true. I made up my mind decades ago that I would suffer the loss of a friend for the opportunity to provide a good life and enjoy the companionship of those that I could.

There are 8 pups waiting for me. None of them was easy to lose. Never will be and that is good. If it were easy, it would have no meaning.

We lost Sonny on 20 January. He sent Quinn to us on 24 March. I still get blurry seeing his photo, toys, etc. This spring I will place him with three others who have proceeded him.
