lube suggestions

excellent gun oil and the mpro-x is new and I used the new oil for the first time and it does a better job. I recommend it to my firearm students along with the whole line of Mpro-7. Send for their brochure and it will outline how to clean just about anything. Many of the Police agencies use it as well as the military. The gun cleaner is a great degreaser and and all of the products are earth friendly with no order. Good investment.

Shooter's Choice grease has worked fine for me so far. After I clean I spray handguns down with RemOil and wipe off excess, the put a light amount of Shooter's Choice on rails. Work the slide a few times, then wipe off excess as rear of slide.

I use TM Bore ( Non Petroleum ) Cleaner for bore and slide cleaning, works great! I use MilCom TW25 grease for the rails ( working range of -90 to + 450 ).

Best

Oil works fine in the slide but in our hot climate I use grease to keep it in the slide and not down my wrist.

Bacon grease.

No, not really. But to tell you the truth, I sometimes get tired of seeing the "What lube" question. Fact is, just about any lube on the market wil l do the job quite well, as long as you use it properly (mainly, don't go overboard with it -- lube according to your gun's owner manual directions).

I like the Brian Enos Slide Glide, also I got some samples of Militec-1 grease that I've been using with excellent results.

slip 2000...slip 2000...slip 2000!The ewl 30 oil or if you like thicker ewl50 and ewg(grease)for the slide.Use it on every firearm i own.It cuts down on cleaning time also.Have a Spikes Tactical AR15 with 4000 rounds downrange without a real cleaning...just pull bolt and wipe down and throw on a few drops and ready again.GOOD STUFF!!!

+1 on slide glide...works great stays in place...you can feel the difference when you pull the slide back.

Fact is, guns have only two simple requirements: to be clean and lubed. What you choose to use is dependent on your gullibility to slick marketing.

I've used everything from 3-in-1 oil to auto/marine products to top-of-the-line, expensive wet and dry "firearm" products and can't tell any difference between them in how well they work. In the end, the gun doesn't care: you like one over another for some particular reason.

I've even used the high-priced Gunzilla. It's one advantage is it doesn't stink (or 'flavor') up the house like Hoppes #9 does. The wife appreciates that.

Amen, +1 on what he said.

Hi.I am a great fan of Militec-1 Dry Impregnated lube for all of my guns.I use the liqiud for lube of the triggering mechanism and levers and a small amount of the Militec grease on the slide rails applied with a Q-Tip.It works extremely well in this manner. For cleaning I have special requirements because I am a bad Migraine Sufferer and exposure to Hoppes 9 would land me in a Emergency Room.I use a product called Breakthrough which has absolutely no smell whatsoever and Mirical Polishing Cloths which have either Coconut or Lemon Oil as its active agent. My guns are very clean and my wife never minds when I am gun cleaning....Mike

I use TW25B. Works as well in 100 degree weather as it does at -3 degrees.

Never had a problem while using it. TW25B greatly reduced the wear on my aluminum framed S&W's. Good stuff. Regards 18DAI.

Mobil 1 ATF synthetic

Howdy,
I have been using Mobil 1 ATF. A quart cost little compared to gun lube. It is great at cleaning carbon and is a great lube.
Thanks
Mike

ANY light machine oil will work just fine. Motor oil such as Mobile 1 will work fine also. As someone noted, it's whoever's marketing ploy you choose to buy into.
