I`ve been a member for quite a few years but have been, for the most part, lurking in the background. I`d posted a few times over the years but they seem to have disappeared during a "Posting Count Loss" sometimes in the past. Not a problem though as I plan to come out of the shadows.

I`d had a passing interest in revolvers but as many do, had gone the "high cap, plastic" bit but eventually came to the realization that plastic guns just don`t "cut it" for me anymore. They`re lacking something that I just can`t quite put a finger on.They do what they do very well but there`s just something about steel and wood that I really like. Sort of like my Camry, it does what it does very well but doesn`t generate any enthusiasm while doing so. A revolver though is a breed apart.

I hope this makes sense to all of you and I suspect that there`s many of you that feel the same.

Welcome back from Delaware! And I know what you mean, as I've also made a return to my revolver roots, the last few years!

Welcome back from Wisconsin!

In the Military I carried a 1911 & between my Navy & Army years I had a 1911 style 9mm. After my retirement from the Army I went into armed security & carried a Glock 22 & 23. Now after full retirement I carry an M&P40 & 40C. I know what's missing - the weight & capacity, LOL. But I know what you mean - there's something about a metal gun with a little heft to it.
