Advice for the short fingered?

icon_smile.gif

I have M-19, that I just purchased. But I find the wood target grips a touch large for my stubby fingers. Suggestions for a recoil reducing set of grips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You could always go with Goodyears but they are ugly. My wife, who has small hands, shoots a mod 66 .357 with service grips & Tyler T-grip and tolerates the recoil just fine. I'm going to put Executioner stags on it after the 1st of the year because she wants them.

Glenn -

The suggestion of magnas and a T-grip has been pretty much the textbook answer since I was a kid. I might add to be sure you have a standard trigger, in case you don't. If you have short little fingers, I would think the target trigger would make it a bit harder to press straight back.

One of my friends, who used to complain about the same thing, always thought he shot better with a smooth, narrow trigger - and would insist on removing the serrations on his triggers any time he got a new gun. He shot well enough that it was counterproductive to argue against his thinking.

Spegel Boot Grips are great; if you can find them the Uncle Mike's boot grips (no longer made) are the rubber version of Spegels; lastly,
Eagle Secret Service grips are very similar to Spegels. I have all three on N, K and J frames.
