M & M's: Plain or Peanut?

They both go well together. They are great with beer too.

I love chocolate. I love peanuts. However, I DO NOT like them together!

My thought, exactly. There's something about the texture messing up the smoothness of the chocolate. However, give me a Reese's peanut butter cup anytime!

Peanut m&m’s and root beer was my lunch after caddying. The taste of the root beer really adds to the experience.

I like them both but do prefer the peanut version.

M&M's were first introduced commercially in 1941 by Forrest Mars, Sr. Forrest got the idea for the candy after observing soldiers eating chocolate pellets with a hard shell during the Spanish Civil War. The candy was made with a hard shell so that soldiers could carry the chocolate during warm weather.Apr 2, 2013

My friend, who has since passed away, was the scientist who invented the process to coat the pieces with the sugar shell. He sold the process to the Mars Candy company which developed it into the M&M candies. While he was living, each Christmsas, he would receive a large box filled with products of the Mars candy company. It was the companies way of giving him recognition for his work.

so I bought a bag of the caramel M & M's this morning. they are pretty darn good. maybe not as good as the dark chocolate M & M's but still pretty good
