was wondering, has anyone had good results with the Apex competition Spring kit? Especially the 4 lb Striker spring. Any Lite Strikes? any major trigger weight reduction?

How mechanically minded/experienced are you?

Used to be an old presentation you could get off the internet about the Burwell trigger job for the 1.0 pistols.

https://www.burwellguns.com/misc/M&Ptriggerjob.pdf

If you don't feel you can do the work of all of it you might be able to pick parts of it (some of the polishing and the work on the striker safety).

ok... I was asking about the reliability of the reduced power Springs especially the 4 lb Striker spring...

Thought you were working towards a lighter smoother trigger pull and might not want to get into ammo reliability issues, too.

Most people say the primers Federal uses are the easiest to light off as you go to weaker striker or hammer spring or weaker main springs.

I've never gone to lighter springs in a striker fired gun. Either factory or slightly heavier. Sorry.

Some polishing of parts might make the lighter spring more reliable due to reduced friction.

I have apex kits in 3 of our m&ps but NO striker spring changes . You can change to a apex striker block to improve your pull and change your trigger if you feel the need . I prefer apex curved trigger over there straight trigger . You can round off or easy the corners on the trigger bar that come in contact with the striker block and polish for a smooth lighter trigger pull that should give you a lower 4lb range .

Save any lighter striker spring change for the range / match only handgun .
