M&P 10 Trigger?

I'm not a flat faced trigger fan and pre4fer the apex curved trigger over there flat trigger too , For me the new M&P triggers just a change not really for the better just a change some seem to like .

The apex flat gives a longer reach to the trigger over there curved trigger .

I just picked up a 10mm yesterday. I was expecting the trigger to be on par with my 2.0 - 9mm - 5 inch. Definitely not the same. Kind of disappointed myself.

Did you lube it?
I'm amazed at the number of newbies who are surprised that you might make things smoother with a little oil - especially the plunger.

My cousin received his M&P 10mm today. The trigger is HORRENDOUS! Is S&W going backwards on its trigger development? My 2.0 Compact .40's trigger is 10X better than the 10mm trigger!
S&W, you REALLY dropped the ball on this trigger!

What lube did he use on the plunger and sear face?

Hopefully none, as those areas don't require lubrication.

I'm amazed at the number of newbies who are surprised that you might make things smoother with a little oil - especially the plunger.

Forget newbies, I'd be pretty surprised to hear that a modern polymer autoloader from what is generally considered to be a decent manufacturer needed lubricant on a spot that doesn't generally require lubricant to have an acceptable trigger right out of the factory.

If Glock, Sig, CZ, and all the others can figure it out Smith could too. If there is a peculiarity that requires lubrication of those parts, it should absolutely be done straight from the factory and should have the need for a special maintenance procedure called out.

Obviously I don't post often but since I picked up my 10mm this week I gotta post, the trigger was anything but smooth out of the box, but after I cleaned, lubed and put a drop of oil on the firing pin block and other friction
points on the trigger and dry fired it a few hundred times I think its a pretty sweet trigger. Definitely lighter than the polished trigger in my G21
