Hello,

I own an M&P-15 22 and just love it. I had bought the Colt, but changed the order the next day after reading all the bad press. I’ve put over 500-1000 rounds through the rifle and have no complaints.

I'm looking to add some accessories and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with these products for their M&P-15 22.

> Sling Swivel - Falcon Industries Rail Mount Sling Swivel A2-Style Loop MidwayUSA - Falcon Industries Rail Mount Sling Swivel A2-Style Loop

> Sling - BlackHawk Universal Tactical Sling AR-15 Nylon Black MidwayUSA - BlackHawk Universal Tactical Sling AR-15 Nylon Black

> Brass Catcher - UTG Deluxe Brass Catcher AR-15 Nylon Mesh Black MidwayUSA - UTG Deluxe Brass Catcher AR-15 Nylon Mesh Black

> Extended Bolt Release - Model 1 Extended Bolt Catch AR-15 Matte MidwayUSA - Model 1 Extended Bolt Catch AR-15 Matte

Or any better suggestions.

Thanks, Mike V

OK, maybe not those particular accessories, but has ANYONE added anything to their rifle? Slings?

Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy.

I have added a BSA red dot scope and a sling to my M&P15-22. I have a Uncle Mike's case and two more magazines ordered and am waiting for them to come in.

Thanks Cowboydave,

I've got a 4-9X scope and another magazine on order.

What type of sling and forward sling attachment do you have? That's most like going to be my next buy.

I ordered my sling from slingsonly.com part # fga-m4ts. It attaches to the front and back with a nylon cord and it seems to be working. You might take a look at it.

I've also added a BSA red dot, with laser and light. The red dot seems fine, but the laser and light are not the best. I had a cheap leapers red dot on it for a couple of weeks, but decided to give that to my lonely mini 14 and upgrade the 22 a bit more. The only other thing I've bought for it is a bipod, actually a couple of them. One is standard rail mount from CTD, the other is a fore grip with small bipod that pops out of the fore grip handle. I think I'm going to keep the standard bipod on the 22, and use the fore grip on my Beretta PX4. The next thing I'll probably get for the 22 is a folding fore grip.

Any suggestions on where to get a fore grip?

I got a folding fore grip (UTG model RB-FGRP170) yesterday. It was $19.97 from CTD (item # ARR-190). The grip has a storage compartment that can hold 2 spare 123A batteries, even has a spring on the cap to keep them from bouncing around. There is a plastic strip on each side of the grip that can be removed to provide a flat recessed surface for mounting pressure switches. The storage compartment could be used for very small tools like allen wrenches, but the tool that came with it was a little too big to fit. It seems to be strong enough and looks good. It will fold in either direction. UTG makes them in black, Army digital, and od green, but I only saw the black one at CTD.

I am really looking for a cheaper version of this:
ZAHAL -FAB Tactical Foregrip Bipod
Think its the best of both worlds

If you're willing to get one with polymer/plastic legs instead of aluminum, the first link below has one for $59.95. I got one at a gun show recently for about $49 (from a blackgunstuff vendor). The legs are not adjustable, they just pop out of the grip. If you plan to use a bipod a lot, this is not the one to get. But, it's ok for those once-in-a-while occasions.

Here's one with aluminum legs for $109.97. It looks almost identical to the one in your link, just a little cheaper. The reviews at CTD are pretty good for this one. If it folded, this is what I would have.

accessories m&p 1522

Hey ya'll just ordered my fore-end grip from CTD!!! Cannot wait for that but in the meantime does anyone have a flash suppressor installed on their M&P 1522 yet? Just curious about adding that on as well...

when i get my 15-22 back, and it works like it should, i plan on getting the Vortex Strikefire reddot scope for it.

Yes, I have a flash suppressor installed on my 15-22. :D

I might have to get one of those eotech clones once I get my M&P15-22 and try that on there. I'd figure the generic would stand up to a .22 much better then my AR in .223

I paid for my rifle last week, but around here you have to wait 7 days before you can take delivery. That day comes on Tuesday of next week. But I figured I go ahead and buy a few things for it before I got to use it.

I just received the NcStar Scope I ordered for it. It's their Mark III Tactical Scope it's a 3-9X42 with the Mil Dot Reticle. I have several other rifles including an a Colt 6920 LE AR-15 that I installed a NcStar Scope on and a Colt M4 .22 I also have a NcStar Scope on.

All I can say about these Scopes are they are dead on once they are dialed in. The really nice thing about these Scopes is they blend in with your Tactical rifles. Thay aren't too big and bulky, and they aren't too long. Another nice feature is the mounts are the quick type, and you can get them to fit a Weaver style mount or a Integrated AR/M16 Carry Handle Mount.

Most Scopes I buy are from OpticsPlanet.com They usually have about the best prices going on all sorts of toys for your other toys. But check around, they're are some real good prices on this sort of stuff right now because of the economy.

Thanks for the post. Curious for myself. Only had rifle for 1 wk, shot once...had trouble that I think was my doing...love it otherwise and will REALLY love it if I am correct (that I am a dumbass)! Checked out scope and will probably follow in your steps. Let's see: 1. scope, 2. sling, 3. ammo...

I picked up the Bipod Foregrip for mine. I know some haven't liked it because of the inherent height associated with having both, but i've like it. It gives you a good place to hold while shooting with the bipod down. Also means you don't have to clutter up your rail with two things instead of one.

Thanks buddy. Its just a cheap UTG Deluxe Universal Rifle sling. Its a standard 2 point sling, i just put both connections on the butt end. Its a no0-slip grip so can carry around all day and it won't go anywhere.
