Has anyone else had an issue with the extractor on the bolt assembly failing? I bought the gun new about 2 months and shot only about 600-700 rounds through it. Ever since I have had it I have had problems with rounds not ejecting properly. Today while I was shooting it misfeed again and I went to clear it and the extractor, spring and retaining pin flew out with the round. Of course I could not find the pieces in the grass. Any ideas on what to do or anyone had this happen to them?

Call S&W and send it home to momma! billy

Sounds like the ejector's integrity had been compromised a while back. More than likely, the pin sheared and was barely holding on until finally, it popped out. Unfortunately, I think S&W is the only course of action.

I'm just curious and have not read the warranty info but are these lifetime warranties?

Call or email S&W customer service, they will ask for the serial number, hope you did the warranty registration, they will send a prepaid shipping label or a downloadable label. Box it up, drop it off at Fedex it will be back in a couple of weeks.
I sent my 15-22P off on Good Friday for the ejector pin to be replaced, it was back within 2 weeks. It spent more time with Fedex than it did with S&W.

Had the extractor blow out from an OOB

My extractor was completely blown out of the bolt assembly from an Out of Battery discharge. I was shooting Winchester 36g HP at the time.

I sent it back to the Borg Cube where it was repaired, no trouble at all.

S&W will cover it, whether or not you did the warranty registration.

Same thing happened to mine. I think it was an FTE that got stuck on the ejector and it popped it right out. Contacted S&W, they sent Fedex packing slip. Shipped firearm to them, got it back in 13 days. Haven't fired it yet but everything looks fine. It appears that they fired it as the bolt was clean when I sent it in.
