FNG here and considering buying the above rifle in 5.56MM, I have heard that I will not be able to use my metal 30rd. mags.
with the green anti-tip in this rifle, is this correct?? I have about a dozen of them that I was hoping to swap out between my DPMS .223 and this new rifle, so will I have to spend more to get the Pmags for the new rifle, need some info here on this from the vets out there, thanks much.

There is absolutely no reason you're standard metal G.I. style mags would not work with that rifle. It's just another AR. The only thing different between your rifle and other AR's that S&W makes is accessories (stock, grip, handguard etc).

Whoever told you that either has no clue what they are talking about, or is trying to sell you p-mags (which are great btw).

So long as your current AR magazines are in serviceable condition, there shouldn't be a problem.
