While trying to fit the cheap Chinese quad rail to my rifle today, I did scuff the barrel a little as well as the Delta Ring. Does anyone know if S&W sells any kind of matte finish touch-up paint?

If not, they should seriously consider this for small, minor, repairs.

Anyone have any tips for fixing these scuffs? The Delta Ring is the worst with the paint down to the shiny metal. I know it won't affect the rifle but it'll drive me nuts knowing it's there! I thought of using a Sharpie but that will make it shine.

For the reciever/ upper and lower, the aluminum is hard anodized black. The easiest fix that will look natural will be aluminum black, which is an acid that oxidizes the open alum. and turns it black. Tetra and several other gun cleaning companies sell it.
As to the barrel, it's a coating. If it is melonite, there is no easy repair. Best bet is to just hit it with a sharpie and then let it all age. It won't be noticeable once you plow thru the brush with it a few times.

Have a old can of Krylon flat black that I use, it matches everything on my AR perfectly. Spray a little on a Q-tip and dab the area and it looks good as new.

I have had very good results with a product called "Black Magic" it is made by KleenBore.
I first degrease the area with electric motor cleaner found at your local auto parts store. This removes all oil and turns the metal white/gray. I apply the Black Magic with a clean patch. I then stop the process by using a spray type of oil, in my case G96 Gun Treatment.
This has worked on some aluminum castings as well, in paticular some AR picitiny rails as well as some Sig pistol frames removing light dings from rings (jewelry type).
It will really clean up any marks on the Remington Express models,
This process is long lasting and does not come off with solvents.
