I have two questions.
First , what is an internal lock? I was looking at M&P 4.25 on GrabAGun and the discerption said "no internal Lock"

Next, is the grip height the same on the 10rnd as the 15 or 17?
I'm thinking the 17 would be taller but can't be sure.

2. The 10 round magazines are the same size as the normal magazine for the same gun. On the FS, that would be the 17. On the 2.0 Compact, that would be the 15.

To answer your question specifically, they don't make guns with the internal lock anymore. At one time, the M&P was available with an internal lock that required a special key. This way you could lock the gun so no unauthorized person could use it.

In the picture in the link I provided above, you can see the hole for the internal lock near the back of the frame. It's the one with the arrow around it. This hole was on every frame for a while even if they didn't have the lock.

That's an excellent price for that gun by the way.

Last year I went into Cabela's for ammo. I have a shield 9 and was considering getting full size M&P 9 if I found one on sale. Cabela's had one 1 marked at $329.00. I asked the clerk if I could see it and he was like,,,umm I thing this is tagged incorrectly. I said ,, What if I want this pistol ? He said if you want it you get it for the price on the tag. Well I bought it right then. I hadn't seen them for less then $499.00 at that time. After taxes and all it was $379.00.

Good deal. That's the way it ought to go. They make a mistake on the price tag, their fault, they sell it at the tagged price.

Though it didn't happen in your case, if it were me and the tag was insanely low, say $199 on a 599 MSRP, I wouldn't push the issue but WOULD expect a very good deal. Don

Thanks for pointing that out, I missed that fact. Is the 2.0 worth the extra cost?

Don't know, S&W says that the 2.0 trigger is noticeably better, I can't personally confirm, my new 2.0 is the only M&P I own.

The grip texture by all accounts is much better and the chassis is more rigid. So, your call. Don
