No doubt something similar has been posted before. I don't find search functions very effective so I haven't looked.

I really like my M&P9 m2.0 and would likely buy another if it was offered in 10mm. I'd reload for it because commercial 10mm is stupid expensive. Don

There are a couple of guns I’m waiting on to be offered. I’d like to have an M&P10mm 2.0 full-sized model, too. Folks here have been asking for one for years. I don’t see it coming anytime soon, but you never know... Be nice if they’d make it available with thumb safety and adjustable rear sight, too. ;)

I’m also waiting on Browning to make their new version of the A5 in 20 gauge 3”. Instead, they’ve offered a 16 gauge. Nothing against the 16, but I’m holding out for the 20. Six pounds will be light enough. ;)

Definitely. I like the option of a manual safety. Briefly tried a Springfield XD(M) 10mm. Didn't like it all that much and found that it was possible to get a partial grip on the gun and still deactivated the safety. Don

S&W needs to move on this! I have decided that if they don't have a 5" 10mm available when I have the funds, I will get either a Rock Auto 52009 1911A2 in 10mm and get a .40 barrel fitted, or buy a Glock 40MOS and buy a .40 and .357 Sig conversion barrels for it.

OMG, not again! Look in S&W semi-auto pistols : No Plans for S&W 10 mm auto.

A bunch of articles in gun rags does not constitute a surge of interest, a flood of product or sales.

Very true. But S&W makes some niche products. I doubt they sell a lot of 460 revolvers or M&Ps designed to be California or Massachusetts compliant but they still offer them.

If they do make a 10mm I would expect it to be in something besides an M&P and expensive. With the super hot 10mm ammo available these days there is a good chance the M&P frame they use for 45 caliber guns would not be strong enough.

Don't the Glock 21/Glock 20 share the same exact frame? :)

Personally I've been hoping for a single stack compact 10mm for quite a while. Something like a G29 but single stack and thinner overall. I love my 1076 but the full sized grip prints pretty hard. Also love my G29 but the "fatness" of the gun overall makes it a little less than ideal for discrete carry.

Groo here
Iam a 10mm fan and just got a Ruger Gp100 WC 3in.
A shield [ported please] would be a great thing...
The 45 frame is large enough lose the flush mag and go with the extended [ need to hang on you know] should get +1 more
[8+1] and light enough to go any where..........

Same frame but the G20 came first so that frame was designed to be a 10mm and adapted to be a 45. Going the other way doesn't always work.

I bought a Springfield Omega in 10mm shortly after 10mm came out. Like many adapted 45 guns back then it was not up to the added stress of the 10mm round and the locking mechanism broke. Don't assume that all it takes to switch from 45 to 10mm is a new barrel, new magazine and stronger recoil spring. It isn't always that easy.
