Hello everyone,
I just ordered a S&W M&P 2.0 Performance Center in 10mm and I'm thinking about putting crimson trace grips on it. From my research the M&P 1.0 and 2.0 back straps are interchangeable. So while crimson trace doesn't make grips specifically for the 2.0 because of the ambidextrous manual safety, I am contemplating buying an extra safety lever and shave off the right side lever and install the plug on the right side. Then the crimson trace grips should fit, here are the grips in question:

Can anyone think of any flaw to this design? Since the back straps are interchangeable and the right side manual safety switch will be removed the laser should just sit right over the blank plug. From what I can tell the rest of the frame from 1.0 to 2.0 is pretty much the same so it should fit. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I have already ordered the parts, I am waiting for S&W to respond to me to see if I can get the blank plugs for the right side. I know I technically don't need the manual safety at all and I could uninstall it and accomplish the same thing but I like the idea of keeping one safety lever just because. I'll update this post as I make progress.
