Yep. The serpa is cheap (around $30), comes with belt and paddle attachments, has a level of retention, and demands a safe draw for training as it requires the index finger to address the frame naturally.

It will work for all m&p's regardless of size, with the exception of the shield.

Have fun and be safe.

I use the same Comp-Tac holster for the M&P 22 that I use for the M&P 9MM and 40 cal. I like it.

I carry my M&P22 in my Raven and/or Crossbreed. Same fit as my M&P9

The M&P 22 will fit any holster that the other M&P Pistols would use, NOT including the Shield. I have a Blackhawk that I use for my 45 and the 22 fits perfectly. It is also a Level 2 holster.

Blade-Tec makes a nice speed rig for M&P if your going to use it in competition. takes about six weeks to get, but its only about $80.00 I really like mine for my M&P 9FS the 22 fits also I tried it.

Isn't fitting mine...

I know this thread is a bit old, but I have a related question. Mostly...am I missing something?

I picked up a Blackhawk Serpa Concealment Holster made for "S&W 5900/4000 9/40 including TSW models" for my M&P-22 and it does not seem to fit. It seem to be too tight. The slide slides back when I try to push it in and I can't even get it to push down far enough to get the to lock in. I took out the one screw that looked like it could be used to create tension and it didn't seem to make a difference. Did I get the wrong model or am I doing something wrong.

I bought this exact one from Walmart: BLACKHAWK! Serpa CQC Holster, Matte Black, S&W 5900/4000 9/40 Series and TSW, Right Hand: Hunting : Walmart.com

Any guidance would be appreciated. I'd love to not have to return this. Thanks in advance.

That area where you took out the screw. Try to stretch it out a bit with something thick like the wrong end of a screw driver. Don't get too carried away, work small at first, fit feel, fit feel. Just a thought. I had to do that with one of mine. Also a thought, try using a hair dryer for the heat and if that might help. Un load the weapon and try that and the hair dryer,DON'T get carried away. Easy does it.

With my M&P 22,I put my thumb on the slide as I push it in the holster. The slide is light as is the spring.

Ahhh!! I've been wondering about holsters for the MP22 glad I saw this. Might need to pick one up

Of course holsters that fit a S&W 5900/4000 9/40 including TSW models won't fit an M&P. They are two totally different models of guns.
M&P 9/40 holsters fit the M&P22 perfectly. I have both M&P's and all my holsters interchange.

Thanks for straightening me out. I'll return it and look for the correct one. I saw 9/40 and the M&P designation slipped my mind. Thanks!

Happy to find this thread. I am looking for a open carry holster for my M&P 22. Basically what I am looking for is a holster to hold the M&P 22 that will closely emulate the carry and draw characteristics of my Glock 17 9mm in order to practice with a 22 pistol. Most that I have tried so far just don't fit or have the problem mentioned earlier in this thread of pushing back the slide on attempting to holster. There must be a holster out there that just works without having to worry about holding the slide in place. Based on the discussion so far here it seems that this holster should work: Level 2 Duty SERPA Holster - BLACKHAWK! What concerns me is that this model is not even mentioned in the very confusing fit chart at the Blackhawk web site. So would the holster mentioned above work based on the actual experience of anyone here? Or for those who have said that a Blackhawk has worked for them could any provide a link to the specific item? I would really appreciate any help.

I have a Tagua open top, and it works for my M&P22, 9mm & 45. Only about $40 too.... It's a high ride model, which I really like... Nothing fancy, no lining, but it works for all of them.
