M&P 40c Backstraps

Im new to all this and Ive own my 40c for about 2 month, i bought it used and it only came with 1 mag and no Back straps, where would be the best place to buy them and also the 40c mags are hard to find or don't have any.

You might run a Wanted To Buy ad here.

Pretty much all magazines have been hit-and-miss for about a year.
I'd think that the back straps would be available from S&W. I think the mags are iffy.

Calling S&W might get you some free ones.....

If not, speedshooterspecialities.com has them for $2.40 each.

Magazines are harder to find. I would put in a product notification request at Midway.

You can also use full-size magazines with an XGrip adapter.

You can also buy 10-round mags for a full size and simply swap out the plastic base plates, available from S&W.



The steel part of the 10-round mags is the same size - the baseplate is the only difference.

I did not know that, I learn something new here almost everyday. I guess its because I don't have to deal with 10rd mags if I don't want too. Its all good to know though.

I have A2 strippled backstrap with his #8 design. LOVE it. Better get it fast, his supply is drying up. I actually got his last compact frame tool.

I bought my burst stippled palmswell on ebay from one of the best stipplers out there. Might check ebay or Brownell's. I love mine.

I'd call S&W and explain you bought a used 40 which came without grip inserts. They'd probably send them at no cost.

The magazine? Someone keep it and sell it, maybe? You can order one from S&W, but it's hit or miss if they're in-stock or back-ordered (they were made by MecGar when I bought my 40c).

try eBay, for the back straps and they sell mags as long is 10 rounds or less.
