M&P 45C - Bunch of lying liars!

Have the M&P .45 and .22. The .45 is my carry and nightstand gun. Dependable, accurate, great fit and comfortable. Not a complaint. Enjoyed reading the other posts that have been very informative, thanks all.

My M&P's are a FS 40 and a Shield in 40. Both have functioned flawlessly since I've had them. Alas, the only 45's I own are a Smith 5" blue 1911 and a Smith 1911 PD.

I'm very fond of all of them as they all function as designed. Especially the "old" 1911's.

I had to carry a G22 at work before I retired and the FS M&P runs circles around the Glocks.

Once upon a time I had a basic 45c which shot better than I could. Unfortunately I had to sell it in early 2012 due to the economy. Fortunately, later in the same year, I was able to pick up a new, in box, unfired 45c with three magazines, factory night sights and the thumb safety (which I wanted) for an outstanding price. It shoots equally as well as my first one exactly as it came from the factory, no Apex parts needed. These 45c models have been some of the most comfortable "compact" 45 automatics I have ever shot, and I recommend them to everyone who asks. Congratulations on your purchase!

Yep, sold my FS9 and 9c after buying a FS45 and couldn't be happier. So much more accurate and a very soft shooter. You can save money if you round & polish the striker block yourself. It's easy enough to do with a drill & bit, some tape and fine grit sandpaper. Did it 3 times now with excellent results which is in the 45 as well as is an Apex hard sear, but that's it.

Congrats, you've discovered and now own one of the best polymer 45s ever made IMO. I own several M&Ps and have to say that the 45c feels the best in hand. The only mod I did was sending it to Robar for their NP3 finish. The trigger on mine is excellent so I never felt a need to upgrade it. The recoil impulse on these feels lighter than on my all steel 1911s so I think the polymer frame actually absorbs and softens the recoil. You're going to enjoy yours.

Thanks all. I've acquired a stash of ammo, and Sunday I plan to really put the screws to this gun and see what it can do. (Or more accurately, what I can do with it.)

I've had a 45c for about 3 months, took me 6 months to find one and I'm use to having the triggers fixed since I live in a state that mandates a 10lb. trigger.
The mag with the pinky rest fits my hand perfectly and I take an x-large glove. The flush mount mag is good too and for ccw is perfect.
I also bought a ten round mag with the x-grip extender for home for defense purposes.
Did I forget to mention, I love the 45c!!!
