M&P Bodygaurd vs LCP

Went to the Charlotte gun show yesterday and I looked at the new Bodyguard and the LCP. The first thing you notice when you pick them up the weight difference. I liked both but I'm leaning towards the Bodyguard. It just felt more substantial and with my large hands it had a better grip for me. Both very nice guns. I don't remember the price on the LCP but the Bodyguard was $279.00 cash only plus tax.

I have both the BG380 LCP. The LCP will disappear in your pocket, while the BG will still be visible. I'm talking jeans here, not cargo pockets. To just run to the mail box, I'd take the LCP everytime unless I have a cover shirt. There is a leather holster for the LCP that is just a flat square on the outside, so no printing at all as a gun. And the top of the gun doesn't show like the BG would.
The later LCP is the only one I'd consider. Sights and trigger are much improved, although my wife likes her LCP and it's the early model.

I must have missed that booth with the Bodyguard for $279.00. The least expensive BG380 I saw was at Dean's for $305.00, cash.

Bob.

I wish I could remember the booth it was in. I thought it was really low myself unless it was marked wrong, or it was used. But it did look new to me. I know Dean's has one on their web site for $308.00 and you can use a credit card. So that price of $279.00 doesn't seem that far off minus the credit card fees.

My Bodyguard 380 trigger smoothed out alot after a few hundred rounds. I actually like the trigger much better than than my Shield. A good cleaning makes a difference but it all boils down to trigger control and training.

What more could I ask for out of a pocket gun...

Someone here commented on the Taurus warranty. I bought a new Taurus TCP from Academy, when I bought it the slide was quite scratched up, during cleaning I noticed the hammer riding along the left side of its travel. I called Taurus, they said send it in, they supplied a shipping label which you sometimes have to ask for. They replaced the slide and shipped it back to me, took 2 weeks to get it back and that was during the heavy gun buying period. I sold it when I bought my Shield and wish I had held on to it, at 7 yards i shot it very well, no jams and i loved the trigger although the pull is a little long.

the boberg xr9s is an interesting looking gun in a compact package, haven't handled one in person yet though.
