M&P cleaning 101

I noticed that brush from the muzzle end too...is there a reason for that?

Not sure I understand the question. I pull the brush from the breech end to the muzzle end. I always brush in the same direction that the bullet travels.

As for the striker channel, I squirt non-chlorinated aerosol brake cleaner into the firing pin opening on the breech. Work the striker a few times and re-squirt. After 8,000 rounds I've never had a light strike. Simpler and faster than disassembling the striker. Also works fine on the firing linkage where a brush has trouble cleaning. Non-chlorinated brake cleaner has the same ingredients as aerosol gun scrubbers at 1/3 the price, and I've not noticed any degradation to the polymer frame.
