Hi folks just a question It seems my M&P 45 which i recently bought new has a front sight that is off and not sure how to adjust it is there a way to measure the sides to see if its even? I keep tapping it left and right but it never seems to be correct
Also is there a way to zero it after I get it in line?

You need a sight adjustment tool. Odds are your local gun shop has one on hand and will center yours up for a nominal fee (possibly free).

As for "zeroing it in"... you'll have to expand on that a little more.

How does the pistol shoot? Have you shot the pistol from a solid, steady rest? If the pistol shoots to point of aim I would leave the sights alone and not worry about centering them. Either the front or rear sight can appear to be off center when adjusted for proper windage. Bill

For measuring, you want a micrometer. For adjustment, the sight adjustment tool.

You didn't ask about the rear sight, but just in case... The M&P has a very small Allen type screw in the rear, which needs to be backed off prior to adjusting the sight.

M&P Sight Question

New to this site and was looking to purchase an M&P 9mm 3.5 barrel and was wondering what does this mean about the sights:
"Sights: Ft: Illuminating Dot Rr: Low Profile Carry "
I cannot find anything on this

Thanks in advance
