Hi all,
I've been having fun with this gun, trying to see how accurate I can be with it..I realize this is more for combat ccw, than target shooting, but I tend to become obsessed on making one hole ;0)
Anyway, I've only got about 300 rounds experience with this and I've really enjoyed the time shooting it thus far. For the most part at 10yds I can cover all groups with a "golf ball" (if supported two hand shooting) and a "baseball" if freestyle two hand unsupported. I am looking forward to improving and was wondering what "seasoned shooters" can achieve with this gun at that range? Thanks!

The gun is more accurate than 90 percent of its users. No real way to measure accuracy, but I could push my M&P9 out to 25 yards with reloads and still maintain a reasonable group.

A round count of 300 is a drop in the bucket on these M&P's. You can shoot thousands through it and have nothing but flawless shooting.

Best I've done so far is a 1/2 inch group (4 rounds) at 7 yards standing off hand (4 round groups), but typically shoot around 1 to 1.5 inch groups at 7 yards. The gun is much more accurate than me.

At 25 yards I can keep 80-90% of my shots within the 8 ring shooting off hand... Occasionally I'll have a flyer that doesn't hit the silhouette (and sometimes not even the paper) and of course some land in the 9, 10 & x ring... Without a doubt there are better shooters than me (and some way worse) and I don't really shoot slow, but that's pretty much the performance I get out of all my M&Ps, good enough for me.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated..
I just got back from a lunchtime shooting session and feeling kinda stoked :) I finished the session with one hand rapid fire and placed 7 rounds in a 2" circle group at 7yds. Prior to that I had a two hand supported 3 round 1/2" group at 10yds. Nothing perfect, but I am improving..
The thing is, prior to this all my handgun shooting in recent years was with my S&W 686 6" barrel..so this has a bit to live up to and I gotta say at combat ranges, it holds its own well. Thanks again!!

I get one hole consistently with both my FS M&P40 & 40C. One round on the paper & the rest of the mag off of it, lol. I joke. Both are dead accurate at 21' & very accurate at more than twice the distance using two hands unsupported. Not bad accuracy using double & triple taps. If it were a human target he'd be dead or close to it but incapacitated for sure. Two to the heart & one to the head is a regular occurrence. It'll be more difficult with the adrenalin flowing & the target shooting back at you, though & that's hard to duplicate in a training scenario at a public range.

Shooting from a bench rest, a 1/2" group at 10 yards is as good as the gun is capable of. If you shot it from a vise I'd not be surprised to see a 1/2" group at that yardage.
