M&P Grip Question

This is my first post on the Smith & Wesson Forum. I'll admit that I'm a military arms collector and not a Smith & Wesson collector. I'm more of a Smith & Wesson accumulator. I have a .32 New Departure, 2" M&P 4th change, Model 1917, Model 13, Model 14, Model 36, Model 58 and a Model 4506. I do have a copy of The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson ordered but it's not here.

Now to the point, I have come across this set of grips. Can you all please help me find out what I have. They fit a K frame perfectly. They are numbered as shown in the picture. I appreciate any help you all can give me.

There are some "stickys" here on the forum that may address the various types of grips youmight want to search for them.

Here's my M1905 4th Model with similar grips numbered to the handgun which I suspect was made in 1919.

Looks to me like the first set has regular medallions and the second set has large medallions?

Something's strange about the number on those grips. The grips themselves are what most would agree to be 1930's vintage, and M&P's of that era would normally be in the 600,000 serial range.

The gun below is in the 649000's, and although the grips aren't numbered to that gun, they're of the correct vintage for the gun - and are the same style as those shown in the original post in this thread.

Voilà!

Hmmm.... I'll buy that. Good call Mr. Priwer. When I posted my earlier response, I was sure there was an obvious explanation for that S/N on those grips. But the fact that the .32-20 M&P's had their own distinct serial range didn't even enter my mind at that moment.

I now consider this as: Case Closed.

Because his have the medallions. They didn't use medallions back then. HTH

So aren't semperfi's grips "large Medallion"?
The first grip's medallions look small and wheelgun's look even smaller!
