I have gotten VERY interested in buying a M & P Shield 2.0 3.1" 45. I have a new Shield Plus 9mm and REALLY like the flat trigger. Would a new Shield 45 have the same flat type trigger as the 9mm Shield ? Don't mean to hijack this thread ... Thanks.

They do look the same and you can always get one to your liking from Apex Tactical that will:

– Reduce trigger pull weight by approx. 2 lbs.
– Reduce trigger pre-travel and over-travel
– Reduce reset distance
– Smooth uptake and reset
– Crisp trigger break
– Maintain factory safety values with center mounted pivoting safety
– Direct drop-in replacement parts, no fitting required

From the factory the 2.0 has the "improved" hinged trigger, not the flat, Glock style levered trigger of the Plus.

Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to know. My large fingers don't work well with curved trigger system. I've had Shield 9mm 1.0 and a 2.0 M&P Compac 9mm. The flat trigger of my Shield Plus works great. I would have to get an Apex trigger system for a Shield 45.

M&P Shield 45 is a 3.3" Barrel JFYI
Looked at one last week
If it would have been in better shape, I would have given the $350 asking price...
I really like the concept & now have 5-6 Shields & want another one I don't have YET

I would recommend my load of power pistol and Zero 185 JHP but you can't find the zero's since covid.

Both my Shield 45s have the Apex trigger. Didn't need to install the spring kit.
